Hines of Oxford Compton Tapestry Waste Bin

From Hines of Oxford, sturdy metal waste bin covered in fine quality jacquard loom woven tapestry fabric featuring the Compton design by John Henry Dearle for Morris & Co.

Measures approximately 30.5 cm high x 20 cm in diameter. 

Tapestry fabric is woven in Flanders by master weavers and the bin is Made in England.

Could be used in a home office, bathroom, study or bedroom.

Compton was designed by John Henry Dearle for Morris & Co. in 1896. Upon Morris's death in 1896 Dearle was appointed Head Designer at Morris & Co. Compton was designed for work undertaken by Morris & Co. at Compton Hall in Wolverhampton.
