Pair of fine quality jacquard woven tapestry cushions with beige velvet back in William Morris's The Hare - facing left and facing right - designs. Has a concealed zip fastener and removable feather pad. These cushions measures 34 cm x 34 cm (13" x 13").
The hare features on The Forest Tapestry designed by William Morris in 1887 at Merton Abbey and woven by Morris & Co's three most senior weavers. The Forest depicts scrolling acanthus leaves a lion peacock hare and fox amongst wild flowers and was one of Morris & Co's finest tapestries.
