Beautiful glass storage jar featuring the Strawberry Thief design by William Morris with a sage green colourway as part of the Arts & Crafts Collection from Half Moon Bag Design.

Measures: 17.5(h) x 11(w) x 11(d)cm

Has a compressed bamboo lid.

Strawberry Thief was designed by William Morris in 1883 with birds drawn by his architect friend Philip Webb. Strawberry Thief was inspired by the Morris family efforts to grow strawberries at their home Kelmscott Manor but being thwarted by thrushes who would creep under the netting and eat the fruit. Morris insisted the birds be left undisturbed.
