Voysey's original late C19th design - now part of the V & A Museum collection - shows yellow birds, red poppies, and green leaves on a blue background, pencil and watercolour on paper. Signed in ink 'C. F. A. Voysey. Archit' and inscribed with notes for printing and in pencil on the back "Never Published".
CFA Voysey (1857-1941) was one of Britain's most influential Arts & Crafts era designer and architect. Voysey advocated going directly to nature for inspiration.
