These larger style mugs measures: 10 cm high x 10 cm diameter at the top x 7 cm diameter at the base.

Compton was designed by John Henry Dearle for Morris & Co. in 1895. Dearle took over as Art Director and chief designer at Morris & Co. after the death of William Morris in 1896. Dearle began his life long career with the company as a 17 year old shop assistant in the Morris & Co. Oxford Street shop.
