Fine quality jacquard loom woven tapestry cushion with a beige velvet back and dusk pink background featuring the Kelmscott Tree design inspired by a work of May Morris.
Has a concealed zip fastener and inner duck feather pad.
Fabric is woven in Flanders by master weavers and cushion is Made in England.
This large cushion measures approximately: 46 cm x 46 cm (18" x 18") and weighs approximately 1.4 kg.
The Kelmscott Tree pattern is inspired by the bed curtains on William Morris's four poster bed at Kelmscott Manor, his country home in the Cotswolds. These bed curtains were designed and embroidered by his daughter May Morris in 1891. May was Head of Embroidery at Morris and Co. and a talented designer and craftsperson in her own right.
