Wild Tulip was designed by William Morris (1834-1896) in 1884 featuring his favourite wild Persian tulips that grew prolifically in his own garden at Kelmscott Manor. The design is also influenced by his interest in art from the Islamic world and his study of Moorish tiles and Persian carpets.
