Charles Rennie Mackintosh (1868 - 1928) was arguably Scotland’s most famous architect and designer. He designed The Hill House, Helensburgh, completed in 1904, for publisher Walter Blackie. The rose design on this mug forms part of a stencil pattern in the drawing room at The Hill House.
