From the V & A Museum Collection, 8 charming blank note cards of two animals - a Hare and Owl - (4 of each design) featured in tapestries by Morris & Co.

These 5 1/4" square note cards are blank inside and come with white envelopes in an attractive card wallet with The Hare featured on the cover.

The owl features in a Morris & Co. tapestry designed by John Henry Dearle in 1895. The design shows a central motif of large meandering acanthus leaves with an owl perched on a blue branched tree. The hare features on The Forest Tapestry designed by William Morris in 1887 at Merton Abbey and woven by Morris & Co's three most senior weavers. The Forest depicts scrolling acanthus leaves, a lion, peacock, hare and fox amongst wildflowers and is one of Morris & Co's finest tapestries.
