The Grand Canyon National Park poster was produced for the Ranger Naturalist Service a department of America\s National Park Service in the 1930s. The poster was created in 1938 as part of the Works Project Administration or WPA. This poster has been faithfully reproduced by a team of artists using the original poster with every detail being reproduced to create the highest quality poster available.

This 17" x 23" poster is printed on heavy stock paper using a non-reflective matte finish for a look and feel of the original silk screened posters.

In 1935 President Franklin Delano Roosevelt established the Works Progress Administration (WPA) as part of his New Deal program to put millions of unemployed Americans back to work. The New Deal administrators believed art could be a part of the daily lives of all Americans not just the elite. The WPA funded various art projects including between 1936 and 1943 the creation of a series of silkscreen posters to promote America"s National Parks which have since become collectors items.
